Pesto Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 200g pasta (spaghetti, penne, or fusilli)
  • 1/2 cup basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • Pine nuts (optional, for garnish)
  • Olive oil (for drizzling)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta: Boil a pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and save 1/4 cup of pasta water.

  2. Toss with pesto: In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the pesto sauce. If the pesto is too thick, add a little pasta water to help coat the pasta evenly.

  3. Add garnish: Drizzle a little olive oil on top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  4. Serve: Top with pine nuts for extra crunch (optional) and serve immediately.
