Chocolate Lava Cake
Ingredients:
- 200g dark chocolate (chopped)
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- A pinch of salt
- Cocoa powder (for dusting)
- Ice cream or whipped cream (for serving)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease 4 ramekins with butter and dust them with cocoa powder.
Melt the chocolate and butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chopped dark chocolate together in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
Mix the batter: Whisk the powdered sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and stir to combine. Add the flour and a pinch of salt, and mix until smooth.
Fill the ramekins: Divide the batter evenly into the prepared ramekins.
Bake the cakes: Bake for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft and slightly wobbly.
Serve: Let the cakes cool for a minute before carefully inverting onto plates. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
