Caprese Salad
Ingredients:
- 2 large tomatoes (sliced)
- 200g fresh mozzarella cheese (sliced)
- Fresh basil leaves (whole)
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (optional)
- Salt and pepper
Instructions:
Prepare the ingredients: Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella cheese into even rounds.
Arrange the salad: On a large plate, alternate layers of tomato slices, mozzarella slices, and basil leaves, creating a circular or straight arrangement based on your preference.
Season: Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the salad (if using). Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
Serve: This salad is best served immediately. You can garnish with additional basil leaves if desired.
